Title: Inside Transcreate AI™: ten years of agency habits, one feature at a time
Author: Mohamad Awada, Co-founder, Ready-to-Publish Translations Date: October 23, 2026
When we introduced Transcreate AI™ in September, we wrote about why we built it. This post is about what it actually does with your file.
Every feature below started as a habit at our agency: something a project manager checked, a question a linguist asked, a fix we made by hand before a file went back to a client. So for each feature, we’ll tell you the habit it came from. That’s the most honest way we know to explain it.
How every passage gets made
You choose a market, not a language
The habit: when a client asked us for “Spanish,” our first question was always “for whom?” A campaign for Mexico City and one for Madrid share a language, not an audience.
The feature: in Transcreate AI, you pick the market: Mexico, Spain, the US Hispanic market, Brazil, Saudi Arabia. The copy is written for the people who will read it. If you want one global version of Spanish or Portuguese for a truly global campaign, you can choose that too.
Draft, critique, revise, until it clears 9/10
The habit: at our agency, no marketing text went back to a client after one pass. One linguist wrote it, another challenged it, and it went back and forth until it read like it was written there.
The feature: every passage goes through the same loop. It’s drafted the way a local copywriter would write it, then critiqued against your brand rules on five things: meaning, brand voice, terminology, local conventions and fluency. If it scores below 9 out of 10, it goes back for another revision. You see the score and the reasoning, not just a number.
The question behind the score is the one we’ve asked for ten years: would a native reader ever guess this was translated?
Two versions you can ship
The habit: a good transcreator rarely has only one idea. We used to send clients our favorite line and keep the runner-up in our notes.
The feature: now the runner-up ships too. Every asset comes with a second, genuinely different version, so your team can A/B test both in market and keep the winner. It costs nothing extra.
A · Estrénala antes que nadie. B · Que nadie la estrene antes que tú.
Your file goes in, the same file comes back
The habit: we’ve always believed a translation isn’t finished until the file is. For years, a good part of our agency’s week went to the unglamorous work after the words: fixing broken layouts, rebuilding tables, re-timing subtitles, flipping slides for Arabic.
The feature: you upload the file you already have, and you get the same file back, ready for the market. Here’s what that means, format by format.
- Word documents keep their styles: bold, brand colors, links, tables, images, footnotes, headers and footers. Formatting follows the meaning, so if your brand color sat on “native copywriter” in English, it lands on the same idea in German, wherever the sentence puts it.
- PowerPoint decks come back in every language, right-to-left included. For Arabic, Hebrew, Farsi and Urdu, the whole slide is mirrored, not just the text: the logo, the bullets and the chart move to where a native reader expects them. Titles that run long are fitted to their box, and speaker notes are translated too.
- PDFs, scans and photos go through OCR, even a crooked scan or a phone photo of a business card. You get clean, editable text back, with emails, URLs and phone numbers left exactly as they were.
- Spreadsheets and CSV files are read the way a person reads them. Transcreate AI skips the title rows, finds the header, works out which cells are copy and which are keys, numbers or codes, and puts the localized text in the column where it belongs.
- Subtitle files (SRT) keep every timecode untouched. Only the text changes, and lines are rebalanced so they still read comfortably on screen.
- Mixed scripts are handled properly. An English brand name inside an Arabic sentence stays in the right place and reads in the right direction. (If you’ve ever fixed bidirectional text by hand, you know.)

Your brand stays yours
Brand terms that can’t be touched
The habit: the fastest way to lose a client is to translate their product name. Our project managers kept a never-translate list for every account and checked it before anything shipped.
The feature: product names and protected terms are locked, and Transcreate AI checks them mechanically on every job, in every language, right to left included. New terms wait for your approval before they join your glossary, so nothing becomes “official” without you.
Everything you approve compounds
The habit: our best client relationships got better every year, because we remembered. Their terms, their tone, the lines they loved and the ones they never wanted to see again.
The feature: your glossary, translation memory and brand voice improve with every job you approve. Repeated content is billed at half price. And it’s all yours: export it whenever you want (translation memory as TMX or CSV). It’s never shared with other customers and never used to train any model, ours or anyone else’s.
If you come from a CAT tool, you’ll recognize all of this. If you don’t know what CAT stands for, you never need to.
A linguist, one click away
The habit: this one isn’t a habit. It’s our agency.
The feature: when the stakes are high, send any job to one of our professional linguists with one click, inside the platform. It’s a full editing pass, not a rubber stamp: the linguist rewrites whatever needs rewriting. Standard turnaround is 3 business days, or 1 for rush. No vendor management, no extra email threads.
Your data, your rules
Your workspace is isolated. You choose how long we keep your files, from 7 days to 10 years. The audit trail can’t be edited, not even by us. SSO and a DPA are available for teams that need them.
Upload a new version of the same file
The habit: campaigns change after they’re translated. Legal edits a line, a price moves, a slide gets cut. We never charged clients to redo what hadn’t changed.
The feature: upload the revised file and Transcreate AI updates it, carrying over the passages you already approved instead of starting from scratch. It works with Word, PowerPoint and plain text today.
A review link for your in-market team
The habit: the best final check on a campaign for Mexico is someone in Mexico. We always made room for the client’s local team to have the last word.
The feature: invite your in-market reviewers with their own role, so they can review and approve the copy without a full account. Stakeholders who only need to look get a view-only link. Available on pilot, Pro and Enterprise plans.
Connect through the API
The habit: our biggest clients never wanted to email files. They wanted translation to happen inside the tools they already used.
The feature: with the Transcreate AI API, your systems can send a file or text for one or more markets, check its status and download the finished file. Signed webhooks tell your system when a job is complete or a human review has been delivered. API access is enabled per organization, so just ask.
Try it on your own file
None of these features is clever for its own sake. Each one is something our agency did by hand, thousands of times, because it’s what good transcreation takes. Transcreate AI does it in minutes, and it’s as careful on page forty as on page one.
A few pilot seats are still open. You pay per word, with no subscription, and human review is included at partner rates. Request a seat at transcreateai.com. It’s one field.
