Have you ever wondered what the workflow and planning look like for a translation project?
Things might seem simple from the client’s perspective, but that is only because we seek to make the translation process as simple as possible for them. However, the truth is that the entire process is like a beehive. Yes, a lot of members and people are involved to deliver an outstanding result. At Ready-to-Publish Translations, we place great emphasis not only on the timing, but also, and especially, on the quality of the work we deliver.
After confirming a project with a client, we press the acceleration button and this is where our “army” takes control: project managers analyze the content of the files that require translation, the deadline, and the target audience, among other aspects.
After this point, we need to decide who is the best member of the team to work on each project.
This is a major step in any project that requires taking into account their specializations and experience, their availability and familiarity with the subject that requires to be translated. The chosen translator needs to be the correct match and we seek to choose the best suitable translator for every specific project. For example, a professional translator who is specialized in legal translations would not be the best option for technical translations, or vice-versa, even if they are best in class in their field of expertise. They simply need to be the best match for the topic and field that each client needs.
So, after screening and assigning the project to the suitable translators, our project managers and editors work in tandem with the translators to make sure the project is flowing well, that the deadline will be respected, and that consistency is maintained across the project. Just like the bees organized in a hive, we apply the same rules – everything is structured, organized and everyone’s role is defined so that we deliver top-notch translations.
Also, during the process, our editors review the files during the daily submissions we require from our translators to ensure that they can spot any error before sending the work to the clients.
When all the work is completed and reviewed, our project managers send the file to the client and follow up to ensure that everything is perfect, and if any changes are required, they take care of it as soon as possible.
This process, with all its ramifications and the human talent it needs is applied to all our projects, whether they are short-term or long-term or whether the projects are for business clients or individuals.
Clients don’t know much about what happens behind the scenes at Ready-to-Publish Translations, but our various professionals are always very active, doing their best to deliver outstanding translations in a timely fashion.
